Advisement is required for all undergraduate CSCI majors

CSCI majors must schedule a meeting with their assigned advisor prior to registering each semester.

Concentrations in Computer Science

The courses for the concentrations share the following common core (The number between parentheses indicates course credit hours)

Each provides a strong background in programming, design, computer organization, database management, networking, and software engineering.

The concentrations emphasize practical skills needed to succeed in careers in computer and information sciences, including technical skills, written and oral communication, project management, and teamwork.

Our graduates work throughout the region and nation, at highly competitive salaries and in a wide variety of industries. In addition, many of our graduates go on to further studies, including the department's masters program. Each of the concentrations prepares students for careers in software development.
