Course Description:
Students learn the concepts of designing spreadsheets, manipulating numeric information, developing formulas, presenting numeric information, and incorporating spreadsheet information into other electronic formats.
Course Goals and Objectives:
- To develop an understanding of how numeric data can be correlated and accessed to create usable information.
- To develop the skills necessary to perform what-if analysis using spreadsheet software.
- To develop the skills necessary to transform numeric information into more visual/readable forms.
- To develop the skills necessary to incorporate newly learned skills with previous knowledge of information technology.
- To gain an understanding of the terminology related to working with spreadsheets.
- To solve problems using spreadsheet applications that relate to the student's major or career choice.
