The department of computer and information sciences standing committees are the following:
Assessment
The assessment committee is responsible for continuous review of the policies and procedures for assessing department performance. It recommends policies for helping the department meet accreditation and review standards required by ABET/CSAB, the TBR, and other accrediting and auditing bodies.Awards
The awards committee selects recipients of the outstanding student awards each spring. and advises for the department's chapter of the Upsilon Pi Epsilon honor society.Curriculum
The curriculum committee formulates changes to the undergraduate curriculum, and presents findings to the entire CSCI faculty. The committee also shepherds curriculum changes through the college and university's curriculum process.Graduate
The graduate committee continuously evaluates all aspects of the CSCI graduate program, including entrance standards, curriculum, and oral and exit exams.Systems
The systems committee oversees departmental policies that govern computer labs, software, and hardware.Promotion and Tenure
The promotion and tenure committee reviews promotion and tenure applications, and submits its recommendations to the chair. Tenure applications are reviewed by all CSCI faculty with tenure. Applications for promotion are reviewed by all CSCI faculty at or above the rank being applied for.
