Brief Biography
Don Gotterbarn has worked as computer consultant for military and civilian clients. He is the director of the Software Engineering Ethics
Research Institute and is a visiting professor in England at the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility. He has published over 100
articles, contributed to more than a dozen books and written several encyclopedia articles. The ACM special interest group on Computing and Society awarded him the “Making a Difference” award for his work in promoting professionalism in the teaching and practice of software development.
Professor Gotterbarn is interested in hiking, painting, and traveling; but mostly he has perfected the fine art of procrastination.
