Brief Biography
Dr. Yuan came from China in 1987 where she grew up and got her English degree. In 1989 she came to ETSU to study computer science and got her Masters degree, then got her PhD in education. Dr. Yuan worked in Walters State Community College as a programmer analyst, then started teaching, and finally became the chair of the community college's computer science department.
Dr. Yuan has been teaching in ETSU for 5 years. She received a $50,000 equipment grant from CISCO in April 2005. During Summer 2004, Dr. Yuan earned a graduate certificate on information assurance from Purdue University (workshop organizer: Dr. Gene Spafford.)
Personal InformationDr. Yuan enjoys playing tennis, likes to cook egg rolls, and loves traveling. She takes pleasure in learning new things.
